Phillip T. Gardner (Phillie-G) was born August 2nd, 1981 in Southeast Missouri. His writing often reflects events he’s actually lived through.
Prison, health complications, & near-death incidents have all played a role in his life & made him the artist he is today.
Phillie-G has released prior mixtapes, such as “The Show-Me Showdown” in 2012. But this time around he’s changed his style a bit.
For example, he didn’t use profanity in any of the songs on this new mixtape, “Back To Business”, attempting to reach a broader audience.
“Back To Business” was released on May 19th exclusively on Spinrilla, with DJ LNM of Smokeaholics Mixtapes mixing and hosting. Songs such as “Lost” & “I Need Ya”, touch on real life problems that people can relate to, while other songs like “Booty Bomb Bomb” are club songs about having a good time. Some think that this mixtape may be his best effort to date.
